GDstudia has led the design for the redevelopment of the Edward Street and lagoon precinct in Port Wakefield.
The vision for the project is “To create an iconic Destination that draws people into Port Wakefield and provides amenity that encourages people to linger longer and discover the beauty of this Historic Destination“
Design and documentation of a high amenity landscape and civil treatment for the main connection to the Port Wakefield foreshore, Edward Street. Scope included assessment of existing infrastructure, raised road pavement, feature pavement, artistic elements, car parking, new kerb protuberances, and amenity landscaping.
Other services GDstudia and GREENHILL have provided include design for a plaza area, foreshore area with feature shelters and boardwalk, roads and carparking and public lighting design. We have also had significant involvement in the community consultation process.
