Mellor Park Memorial

This project provided the community with a unique soldiers memorial. The design featured natural stone that complemented the existing path network and memorial information etched within it.

The design provided artistic vertical features inscribed with memorial details and placed throughout the memorial space with bespoke feature lighting. Centrally a large raised elevated stone plinth is proposed with four flags. Planting was was used to provide definition to the space create a sense of semi privacy and providing a green backdrop to the memorial. Permeable paving is proposed along with integrated seating to allow users to relax and reflect. The memorial was designed to be flexible by orientating towards open space to allow for larger services, and having integrated power supply for events.
