The Amblemead Estate in Mt Barker began construction in 2016. With plentiful open space, a detention basin was a combined effort by the GDstudia and GREENHILL resulting in a feature permanent water body. Both teams delivered on all aspects of the project life, from concept stages to final construction handover.
The development is planned to have just over 180 homes with a 2-hectare reserve, playground, and bike track.
Several engineering elements such as detention basins, stormwater management, biofiltration beds, and lighting. The landscape elements include open lawn spaces, native gardens, a waterfront boardwalk, and a range of furniture and fixtures.
